mytasteinwomen: I went on a date recently to a simple but reliable restaurant that I like in the neighborhood. got us some glasses of prosecco to start (so tasty, always) and then my date participated as I told the waitress I know fuckall about wine not in those words and asked for a recommendation.FN1 date drank maybe 1.5 (being generous) small glasses of the bottle and declined when I offered to top her off at points. so I guess I was just supposed to get housed. query: assume a man and woman both with totally average (for their sex) alcohol tolerance go to dinner. if they order a bottle of wine, what fraction should the woman drink? I think it’s 1/3 but could be persuaded. once went to dinner with a woman who would fill my glass (but a bit more) whenever she filled hers. loved it. 1 If there is a way to avoid looking like a prick when ordering wine despite having less than expert knowledge I’d love to know it. I stopped trying a long time ago.
